Coldest start of this year

Post by alexanderfoti »

GP relay appears to be flaking out! I had to tap it a few times to click on.

It would also appear I have 1 x GP out possibly?

Mine's the same, starts on one cylinder before 'tother one joins in.

There's a guy working next door digging the fittings for an extension, he has a Kubota mini digger with the 3 cylinder engine and a tiny 'walk behind' dump truck with an air cooled Yanmar - it took him a long time to wake them up this morning. He also told me he used easy-start on the Kubota once and it cracked all 3 pistons. We have been warned!

Its almost like the timing is a tad retarded, but I have no shims between my pump and the housing so possibly something is worn somewhere.

I use WD40 to help start the diesels, its a bit easier on everything than brake cleaner/easy start

or propane is quite good.

Never use easystart/ether on a diesel, it will pretty much ruin the engine. Just use WD40 as suggested. Or heat up the intake, somehow.

Bike started tho!
