Big Knock 2018 - 1st June weekend

Being as Britain is such a hostile climate for motorcycles for 6 months of the year, only the most hardy and nutters ride at this time of year. This means most things happen between April and September. My diary tends to get a bit busy in the middle of the year, so when anyone knows the date post it up.

My agenda tells me its going to be from the 1st to the 3rd of June.

Yes, 1st of June weekend is set for the Rally at The Bat & Ball. I’m hoping camping costs will be similar to last year but inflation has been on the march so it could be a little higher?
Everything else is the same at the moment.

T shirts

I checked into the Bat & Ball last week & everything is on track for the Rally.
We have been promised a new access road through our field looping to the rear field as there are currently some ruts full of water. The area where the bonfire is held will also be ringed & off limits like last year as it’s going to be re- seeded.

T shirts arrived yesterday & Ruth kindly modelled them for me. You know you want one! So get in quick come the event.

My preparations for attending have had a slight wrinkle as the missus broke her ankle yesterday climbing over a style.

So it will either be:

1) both of us in the camper with Sluggy on the trailer.
2) leave the missus at home and I’ll be solo on old Sluggy.

I may not decide ‘till late on Thursday but you should see me on Friday onwards one way or another.
