Eva Trac Bodywork

Post by touchwoodsden »

I have spotted an Eva Trac for sale with damaged bodywork. The bike looks to be all there but there are large chunks of plastic missing.
Does anyone know which body parts are common with which KTM or are they all now bespoke?
Is it possible to repair plastic fuel tanks if there is just a crack?

Front wheel mudguard is KTM for sure, afraid the rest is custom to the bike. Bike drives well though without plastic.
Tank repair is possible by soldering, but I personally have no experience in such yet, gonna give it a try on the headlight fairing soon.

Cheers. I thought some of the electronics were behind the plastic.
I thought the front mudguard was KTM and although the rest of it looks KTM, from photographs, I couldn’t see any common panels.

Engine ECU is on the lefthand side just below the tank with the connector on the back side.
Possibly the generator regulator on the same mount as the ECU, at least on my bike, others have the regulator below the seat somewhere.
Ignition wiring as well as obvious headlights and handgrip heating also behing the plastic so I would not recommend driving it al the time without the plastic in rain.
I just drove it for a few days like that after maintenance to be able to check for eventual leaks easier.

Its all over. It went for much too much money for my appetite esp considering there wasnt one piece of plastic intact

If you're into minor modifications you can always try the stile of the drivenbybacon bike.
It started it's life as a T800 CDI, but looks "slightly" different.
