Britain's most prolific Diesel Bike builder?

Post by Stuart »

Sam Brumby informs me that he has acquired a Ruggerini 950, 21.5 HP engine for what will be his third Diesel Bike :!:
Surely Britain's most prolific diesel bike builder at this time :?:

I'll be watching

Good deal, I'll watch, I just bought a Rug just like it. It looks like an exact copy of a Hatz 2G40 except the Hatz has a cross flow head design. I might replace the Hatz in my Dnepr with it as it's set for 3600rpm vs. the Hatz 2900rpm setting, netting me a little more top end.

If you notice it has a 1" pto off the front/flywheel side. I'm toying with the idea of a small supercharger. I have a friend that builds superchargers, but that idea is down the road abit.

That's the go - 21.5 HP, with the right tranny etc one can sit on highway speeds all day.

Seems to be a few multi cylinder bikes being built now, really looking the part too.

Any mention to what frame etc Sam is going to use with the new project Stuart?

I'm sorta interested in one of those V twin Diesels as a new project, but also like the looks of the 2-3 cyl inline engines too  Just depends on what one can do here down under "Strict as hell when passing rego requirements here"

It's all fun

new bike

Post by Stuart »

No idea what frame Sam will use for the new bike. Whilst in Hamm he mentioned that he had access to many old machines as a friend of his had a shed full or something. I guess we won't have long to wait as Sam makes these bikes very quickly.
He said he just bolts engine and gearbox to a plate and then whacks it straight in. Way to go :!:
