BSA Bantam Diesel.
Hi,
I've been searching this site and very surprised this is not being talked about here!
eBay item number:
331921820710
Currently on sale via eBay UK.
This is a very special little machine, built by a talented engineer, and by the looks and sounds, it's worthy of talking about.
Upside is a great chassis, free of m.o.t/tax, well built and engineered, silly mpg, and a real one-off.
Would make a great tourer, from my point of view, but, the big downside will be a lack of a decent cruising speed for todays roads.
Seriously thought about bidding for it myself, but that lack of decent cruising speed puts me off.
I'm sure it will be snapped up as a fun/novelty bike by someone, certainly a great show bike.
The website and domain name: www.diesel-bantam.co.uk goes with the bike too, which is very useful.
Loads of info and build pictures and technical bits in there. In fact, this is a good package for the right person.
Stacks of interest on the Bay, and I'm sure it will sell for more than the owners total build/outlay costs of around £2k.
Regards
Al'

Cheers for that info Al. I think we've seen it before but it's not made it onto the site for some reason. Probably shared via social media which is the route of least resistance lol. But I shall post it again, the website that is.
Cheers

I believe we were introduced to it back in 2011.

Did this sell? I'd buy it in a heartbeat

I don't suppose someone could tell me what this engine is?

Re: BSA Bantam Diesel.
In the advert it says ideal learner and 125cc I don't know of anybody that makes a 125cc diesel?

Chinky copy of what engine in the Yanmar range? I was only hoping for an approximate indication.
