I am looking for a radiator with both inlet and outlet on the LH side (as you sit on the bike) to fit on my K100 Smart CDI. I saw one years ago and there was some kind of baffle inside the header tanks to divert water along the top section and back down the bottom (or vice versa!) or down one side and back up the other. Not seen anything since. I am trying to avoid radiator hose crossing from left to right as I have seen some plumbing nightmares. Both inlet and outlet for water are on the LH side of the Smart engine block
Any ideas anyone?
I was thinking of something like this suitably modified.

A couple of questions arise. This is off a motocross bike which gets thrashed and clogged with mud so I guess will need lots of cooling.
Would something designed for 250 petrol bike be sufficient for an 800cc diesel?
I am trying to think outside the box.
Thanks all

Re: Radiator questions for Smart Diesel
I use an Austin mini radiator which is much smaller than the car (charade) item but is plenty big enough without a fan, unless you're stuck in summer traffic. Don't boil that aluminium engine...fit a temp gauge and get ready to find room for bigger rads if it doesn't work out!

Re: Radiator questions for Smart Diesel
I thought of a BMC mini radiator but the inlet and outlet are still at opposite corners. I don't whether high could get one made with both inlet and outlet on the same side. It is the top inlet which is problematical.
Surprisingly may seem, it would actually be easier for me to get aluminium one re-welded and it would be to get a couple one because you start to solder things on a copper radiator, everything starts to fall apart.
I was planning on having a slim fan (kit car type) on the outside .I take your point however about overheating with an alloy engine and I guess it's better to have a radiator which is too big than one which is too small. After all, the thermostat will take care of any over cooling

Get a set of a crosser with 40 HP will do. It has a lot more heat out put than you will have.

CRF450R has 50 plus hp
Any 250cc 2stroke with a nice radiator or nice set (2 small ones) will do.
