Had some off time to surf around shops and found myself staring at big ATV and it´s engine/transmission.
It was shaft driven and maybe had diffrential in the rearaxle but what was most interesting that automatic clutch & transmission system looked like tight packet. I figured out that by using suitable pulleys etc it could be used as "automatic"transmission as it is.
Had anybody ever tried to use one on dBike?

Haven't actually tried it but I did think that the transmission of a mid 90's 2wd Polaris might have good possibilities for the same reasons.
I also thought that the new artic cat diesel 4 wheeler would be a great donor to the diesel bike complete with calibrated CVT and Lombardini twin..... It will do approximately 40-45MPH on a heavy ATV.... put it in a light Bike and gear it up you would have the starting of a great Bike IMO..
