Contacted the guy. He has stored it for 18 years. Runs fine, just needs an MOT apparently. Previous owner was RB Engineering (Robin Redbreast?) and it's registered as 'heavy fuel'.
This looks like Ernie Dorsett's Trials bike. Would that make it more valuable? I suppose not as it isn't famous enough.
I've still got the bits to build a copy of the Yellow Peril (which I now intend to do over the winter). I would love both but can't justify it.
I think 1 diesel Enfield is enough and most of the fun for me will be in building it.
The plan is to ride my Yellow Peril Enfield replica to next years Big Knock Rally.

I don’t suppose the guy said who bought the bike? Ernie was my grandfather and I’m looking to track down one of his creations. I’ve been into bikes since I was a child and would very much like to have a Dorsett diesel back in the family.
