ebay peugeot 106/Sax0/rover 115 diesel engine.

Thought this might be useful to anyone contemplating building a large cruiser type bike??
I've had experience of these cars and the 1.5 engine is a solid one with no ecu etc.
In otherwords it's a basic old fashioned engine.
This one won't work on veg oil as it has a Lucas pump but in my opinion it runs smoother than the Bosch version.
I have no connection to the seller but it struck me as a low mileage clean engine at a good price.

Just to add all you need is fuel and a switched live feed to the pump cut off and it will run.
If you want to run veg oil the Bosch pump version is the one you want BUT it has an immobiliser, on the end of the pump,
with tamper proof bolts and the cover has to be ground off as well as a hidden roll pin.
Once access is gained and the immobiliser out of the way it's then just a matter of connecting a switched live
wire to the cut off in the same way as the Lucas pump.
This engine will run neat oil but best to run it through a heat exchanger.
If anyone wants advice about which pump is fitted from ebay pics etc. just ask and I'll ID it if the pics let me. :)
The engine is a bit of a lump so you'll need a bike with plenty of room and I believe it has been used in a Guzzi and some others.
