Nice! Did you get to keep the original Jawa plates? Or did you have to get new ones?

It still has the plates numbers that you can see in the last youtube video.
Only i had to put on new EU plates (with a 1 ) on it, cause the original plate (as in the video) was obsolete..
btw for al dutch builders; the rdw told me that if the bike was newer then '98 it becomes a whole other ballgame to get it RDW approved.
mine is from '96.

Good to know. All tough I was planning on a doner bike from before '75 to avoid the road tax, I might not be able to obtain such a bike.
Why did have to get the EU plates with a 1 on it? You supplied the origenal ones didn't you?

No, they didnt ask for the original plate, that one is decorating my loo at the moment.
its standard procedure to get the '1' (which basically means you've lost the previous plate, normally speaking),
when you go from old plate to new EU style plate. At least thats what they told me.
It appears that when you really dont want the '1', you can get it without. I did not bother to ask that however, cause i didnt knew that at the time.

Yeah I thought it was weird that you got the 1 on there, shame, now you can only lose the plates once. In which motoplus is the article about your bike going to be?
