Lots of good information on bike building can be found. Also I've received positive response to my Diesel way of thinking and getting lots of questions. I'd like some folks to maybe take a look and join in. I think we could get a few more Diesel bike builders, and I don't have all the answers. Come over and take a look.

Well I'll say, you guys on that side of the pond (UK, Germany, etc) are on the leading edge of the Diesel revolution. Over here in the states, we have yet to have a Diesel Rally (yet, hint hint) Germany has had 6-7? UK 2-3? I have many that totaly love my bike. I was in Vegas at a very large custom bike show, lots of bike builders, parts manufactures. I had guys with their 100k choppers and comming over and gawking at my contraption.

So now I'm being bombarded with questions and lookng for ideas, I'm going to send them in your way. You guys have years more experiance doing this than even I do. I think we all can help each other.

We all live on the same planet, we share the same sun, look at the same moon. We are all earthings, we can show the world how to work together.
Just think, if we could get our leaders to work together, our military could consist of a canoe, straw and a pea shooter.

Yeah Diesel bikes are certainly head turners alright. And people don't forget them either. I've had guys see my bike and tell me they've seen others. When I get the details they are usually bikes seen years before but which were in the country for my rally! They certainly make an impression on folks
It's all too much for some people though. On seeing a Brit bike they bowl on over to you only to back away with some kind of shock on their face's. But most are intriuged and usually get a card from me

Today, I was out riding and got the usual "hey, what engine is that???" after answering, I get the usual "cool"....

It's going to take a sponsership (did I spell that right???) or some interest from a local bike builder ($$$) to get something out on the show room floor.
That, however, does not solve the problem with EPA certs or whatever else government BS builders must go through. I remember back in '97 talking to the guys at Ural in Washington state and them telling me all the horror stories about getting their bikes certified and the cost involved.

The only way to put diesels on the road at a local level (to start) is to find older used bikes, and retrofit them with diesel power. This to, applies to auto's as they are held to factory spec's going back 25 years.

Most people (the buying public) just don't care for the unusual. Diesel ATV sales aren't bring new models to the showroom floor....
