Loll, yeah that bugger wanted to use my Enfield, reading the stacks he had and questioned the quality of oil used, I'm glad I didn't ........................ :)

Let me know how the book is, also look on this forum as I posted the promotional material regarding this some time ago.

I've not started my copy yet :!: :D

Ok, I'm about a third of the way through. Slow reader as I'm reading two books at once  Interesting to read about the Uni guy Colin Kestrel as he contacted me years ago and I sent dvd's of the early rally down to him. All you guys who had video shot, mostly in Hamm, directly inspired the bike that the Uni built and which took centre stage in this humorous book.
In a distant kinda way I feel a little bit of me in that bike and actually cringed when i read that he dropped it off the vans ramp :!: :D

Have to say I thought the book kinda dropped off towards the end. I met someone else who said the same. Good try though and nice to read about Colin Kestrell as I supplied DVD's of early rallies to help his student build that bike :D :D :D

You will find this a good read and certainly goes through a roller coaster of a ride, not only the bike, rider.

I got a copy 2nd hand last week, just finished the book. I really enjoyed it, had me laughing out loud a few times  Does anyone know any more about the HPDM land speed bike? I can't find much online other than their attempt was rained off a couple of times.
