Good stuff. We will probably go our usual thing of leaving from Newhaven & making a small holiday from the trip.

Hi,
If anybody is planning to book with Stena Line for the Hamm Rally (Harwich-Hook) they have a £30 off discount if you book by 15th July and travel by 30th Sept. This is based on a return Flexi fare only. The Discount code is "SU50"
See you there hopefully...... Ian.

Replaced all my brake pads yesterday. Trying to figure panniers for Ruggerfield as bro will be riding that.
It will be a night boat from Newhaven for us on Tuesday before I think.

I'm still putting my bike together, should be finished tonight, then I have to run in as much as possible.
Nothing like a bit of pressure. :)

Have solved the Ruggerfield pannier prob by putting Tiger's top box on her :)
Tickets bought for Newhaven ferry. Times have changed again so we will be on the lunchtime boat as there is no midnight boat on that particular day.

I was thinking of going this year. But I have just checked the ferry prices. Being as its now bad weather as you would expect for this time of year and dark at 8 oclock, I would have come in the van, bike and bed in back. Here are the prices Dover Dunkirk motorbike £54 rtn, motorhome £73 rtn, car+caravan £104 private van £210 rtn.
Add to that £200 in diesel just to pricey for basically 2 days in Hamm. So I will repeat again If you can get them to put on the rally 1 month earlier a bike trip would be quite nice. Anyway for those hardy folks that are braveing the elements hope you have a nice time.

DFDS-formerly Norfolkline have always screwed vans, private or commercial. I had an email from DFDS today offering 20% off Dover to Calais/Dunkirk sailings (using code EDISC20) but it only mentions cars. Worth trying though. Have fun you guys! Hamm is a great event in a fab location, sadly my project is delayed (again), so roll on Big Knock 2014 !

Still preparing the bikes for the run here. I hear Teun has found a soft valve on his Zeus outfit & hope to sort it in time.

I took the bike out for it's first run after the top end rebuild, the engine feels more responsive and certainly sounds more powerful, yippee :D
However, since I stripped the front brake and replaced the pads it now works properly. A part of me wishes that I hadn't bothered, as now the new pad bounces on and off the warped disc making a hell of a noise.

So I have to find a replacement Harley disc locally, fit it and then run the engine in before leaving on Wednesday. Doubtful :(

Just finishing our preparations here. I think I've ripped my back, hauling panniers out. That will make moving the Tiger about fun :)
Trying to take as little as possible. Will fuel up later ready for the run to Newhaven tomorrow.
