Final drive Question

Decided not to go the CVT way and wondered if anyone know how to do this (see pic) and would anyone be up for the work ? First is attaching the new diff box and the issue of a spindle ??

Another discussion in here on that bike it was said that particular part was a right angle gearbox, possibly from a tractor. The shaft drive off the engine is OEM frontwheel drive VW. It is a Diesel VW powered bike if I recall right and he kept the VW front wheel drive tranny (or portions of it).

Have seen the right angle drive gearboxes for sell on ebay and the likes under machinery I think. They usally have some sort of gear reduction or increase in them as well. I hear that at times it is not to hard to find shaft and right angle drive off a Honda Goldwing cause they are often pulled and discarded when converting to a Trike.

question still remains though.. what transmission you thinking of to spin the driveshaft.

was gonna do the same with my engine gearbox but..........................but like a fool i forgot i had a big twin HD tranny lying in the workshop. :shock:
