Finished the new trailer yesterday, runs fine behind the bike, only in the mirrors can you tell its there, might go into production if I get enough interest.

I have always loved the single wheel trailer concept. I love the Uni-Go but the price has always kept me thinking about my own.

Very nice.

That looks like a really neat job strumby, much stronger construction then some I've seen.

If there's a good market I'd go for it and produce some - why not.

Guess the trick is to find some good reliable contacts and to get the word around, then away you go.

Cheers

Trailer

Nice Trailer I like the PAVS but they are hard to get hold of.
If the price was right I would be interested in one.

It is not in the arrival brightly planned. But in the Dreams Men Dream along the way we find the Golden road to Samarkand.

looks good man

i built one last winter - here it is in its undresed state -

i went for fully enclosed wheel - made it easier hanging lights / plate on the back, no need for a mudguard etc etc...

i just used a scooter leading link front end and ut it down - makes for a very cheal suspension system on there that works wonderfull

what are you doing for the hitch? i eventually just got a huge UJ, welded a tube on a drawbar i made up, and the UJ just slots over it and a pin drops through it to lock it in place - really simple but effective

and like you say - the single wheel trailers tow great

i think theres deffinately a market for a cheaper option - its the towbar thing that needs tacklind though as far as i see it - a lot of people dont want an ugly lump on the back of the bike when not towing so something tidy would have to be thought up

this one is worth looking at too for a manufacturer of them - nice simple design

good luck with it if you do end up producing some of them

Thanks for your possitive comments I will have to find out how much the various parts will cost. but a complete guess on the finished unit would be £800. which might sound a lot but quite a bit less than a Uni-Go & the same cubic capacity 5 cu ft. The towbar I have attached to the frame under the seat then it is sent down behind the number plate then underneath. The coupleing is a standard UJ that boults with 2 M12 boults, The electrics I have coupled up with an audio plug and socket under the seat, so when the trailer is uncoupled the bike looks normal. The hole unit weighs 36kg. You will see I have used a long towbar this works out at 2.3m from the rear axel the limit is 2.5m the reason I did this was to impose as little weight on the back of the bike and the towbar. There is a stand for the trailer which can be on or off, as if you are just going shopping you wouldnt need to dissconect
Any comments good or bad would be pleased to hear.

Another new trailer being built in the UK, looks similar to the Unigo and about the same price http://www.mono-trail.co.uk/index.html
