Yanmar L100N Variable injection timing

Post by alexanderfoti »

Hi all

I was looking over the L100N tech brochure and noticed this:

Image

Seing as the fuel consumption and power output jumps at around 2800rpm, wheras the previous l100 didnt. Any ideas why this is? I can only assume it due a 2 stage timing thing?

Maybe it has to do with the used governor.
As long as it smokes, it runs!

Possibly. The question is, can it be implemented on our l100s?

It looks likes a 2 stage injection timing, which couldn't be implemented in the governor though?

I think it's possible to use a 2 stage injector on an ordinary fuel pump. But you'd only activate the second stage when you want to inject enough fuel. That may explain the jump.
