YANMAR CLONE ENGINE OIL

Post by zoro »

ANY ADVICE ON WHAT GRADE OF ENGINE OIL, TO USE ON A YANMAR CLONE 418 ENGINE, OR AT WHAT MILES BETWEEN SERVICE, THE BIKE WILL SEE ROAD MILES, SO I,LL BE LOOKING TO USE A GOOD OIL. ANY ONE EVER TRYED LUCAS OIL TREATMENT IN THESE ENGINE. SPOKE WITH A FITTER, WHO WORKED ON THESE SMALL ENGINES, THAT POWERED CHILL @ FREEZER ROOMS IN A CHICKEN FACTORY, HE SWORE ON USEING THE LUCAS OIL PRODUCT, DUE TO THE LONG HOURS & WORK LOAD THAT THE ENGINES SAW.

After the initial 750 mile oil change, I intend on changing mine every 2000 miles, its only 1.5 liters, any 10w40 oil should be okay, I will use whatever i have lying around, its an industrial engine at the end of the day.
