As Stu already said. It's an old mag, and these are old news. And most of them did not really happen!
Ans the most important - There is no "Ducati TDI" Motorcycle in the mag.
This sounds very interesting these days again, cause of the purchase of Ducati by Audi.
Nobody knows what will happen. But I'm still sure they could do it, if they want to.
VW already has used a prototype 800cc TDI with nearly 50 horses

Thanx for the interesting article. A lot of nice ideas 22 years ago, and it even has dieselbike runes on the last page.

Hopefully the 1990 runes are not gone be thousand years of viking runes, that will be to too long time to wait for a dieselbike like the Super Commuter GTD550, that would the ideal bike for me.

With increasing fuel prices it can only be a matter of time before one of major bike manufacturers starts producing a modern CDI dieselbike. ( Half a Audi/VW 1600cc CDI engine in a Ducati frame, why not)

This is a bit to easy. The 1600cc TDI from VW/Volkswagen uses the same engine block than the 1900cc. And this block, called EA827 is in use for about 40 years now.
But they build this 800cc TDI already. But it is shown in parts only

Yes! Using the 1600cc or 1900cc engine from VW will definitely end up in a bike that weighs more than 300kg.

Using a three-cylinder 1400cc TDI you can stay below 300 kg. But this is still not a small bike

And it is a stock K 100 RS with no lengthening. Powered by a 1400cc triple used in VW Lupo, Polo or Audi A2.

Well K100s are a dime a dozen, as opposed to Tigers Triumphs. But Lupo engines aren't. Still, very interesting, although I wonder what he had to do to make bike that goes 195-215km/h at 8000rpm do 200km/h with a Lupo. Are you sure this is accurate?

Of course the TDI does not rev to 8000.
But up to 200km/h is what you can expect from 75 horses.
The gearing is changed to make this happen.
