It may just be that I haven't looked hard enough but I haven't spotted any Perkins (at least those featured on the site) used in any motorcycle builds. I was curious as to the reason why. Is it pricing, size, or weight? Based on specs it really shouldn't be a potential lack of performance.
Just a bit of curiosity is all.

Re: Perkins
though not on this site there is a big harely I believe with a perkins.
As to why few to none... pretty sure it is a size/weight thing and are they not pretty low RPM engines too. Makes it hard to match a gearbox too.

Re: Perkins
I have installed a Perkins series 40c 500cc twin cyl water cooled diesel engine on a 400cc 1979 Honda. I have had good results with a top speed of 55 to 60 mph. Runs like a watch. Am having a small problem after it comes to full operating temp. and it idles for too long it is slow getting to full rpm. Otherwise runs fine.
