L100N Injector Supplier?

Post by snoopy »

Can anyone specify a dealer/supplier in the UK? I've found out my engine is the newer 'N' type which uses a different (longer) style injector. Nobody in the UK seems able to supply one.

Cheers, Andrew

Try Direct Equipment Sales - Diesel generator spares shop.
phone 01789 765827

I've found them to be very helpful, and reasonably priced. They also dispatch very quickly.
They show a diesel injector for a type 186F, but may have others.

They can be found at: http://www.directequipmentsales.co.uk/page11.htm

Hope this helps.

They are the cheapest so far, I just bought a new pump for £47.

But they seem to stock the other injector. It looks like my engine is a clone of the newer L100N. My injector has a longer nozzle than the L/A series.

Meant to be going away for three weeks in 10 days time and so far it's looking like £140 exc VAT for the Yanmar injector.

A specialist can clean and test it in 15 minutes or so

I'm not 100% sure its just the nozzle. I'll go for that option if I can find anyone doing just the nozzle.

Here's a picture of my injector.

This is the same injector. It's a great video and confirms that mine is knackered, I don't get a mist like this.

Also makes me think it's not an L100N injector but that the Chinese clones can use another type altogether.

Oh, and mine had no gaskets around the bit that puts off the nozzle.

Lurking in the depths I found this thread:

https://www.dieselbikeforum.com/view ... =31&t=1587

And a seller on alibaba confirmed its a 186FA not the 186F meaning I have a 418cc engine not 406cc as per on the box. :)

Well yeah but it served the purpose - to tell me my injector is shot.

Tried and tried to find a supplier in the UK with a 186FA injector. Only only had '1' in stock and he wanted a lot more than the L100 injector because as he put it, he rarely sells them. I've bought 10 from Alibaba.com and will flog a few nice and cheap to anyone that wants one (this is for the 418cc engine NOT the 406cc).
