Hello,

I've enjoyed researching your site and appreciate the effort and expertise I've found. I'm a long-time motorcycler logging around 50k miles through the years. I'm reasonable mechanically able and love driving on the cheap so diesel really attracts me. My current motorcycle that gets about 50mpg US has recently broken a very expensive part and am thinking of making the plunge into the diesel world. I hope to make a meeting in the future to look at your wonderful machines and meet the people behind them.

Hi Ricky :D Sure be good to see you at the next meeting - we've had guys fly over before! I'd have to recommend you look at the bigger bikes around as they would be well suited to the kind of distances you would have to travel in a larger country. Anything with a true automotive engine is a good start :D
Stuart. M1030M1, Honda NC700S, Grom!, Toyota Corolla 1.4 Turbo Diesel. Favouring MPG over MPH.

Welcome, Ricky!

I'm another newcomer here, also from USA. I looked at the same situation: a bike that need$ $ome repair$ and no sense of humor on prices for parts. About all I can get is factory original parts at stealership prices or little better. Just like you and many others here, seems to me the wise choice is to put that cash into an oil burner!! Hope you project is successful!
