New in NE England
Hello folks, been a while coming but, I,m hooked well and truly, Seen a Kubota Z400 for sale are they any good, I,m like a kid at Christmas and cant wait to get started building my first oil burner
Re: New in NE England
Hi there... Kubota twins are installed in some Microcars and have proved themselves well, I think the Z400 is only rated 10hp, which is sufficient for approx. 90-100kph, but if you're going for a twin anyway, I would try and find something a little stronger. Engines with approx. the same weight will quite often be more towards 20hp, which offers you the possibility to comfortably and constantly reach 100+ kph.

Yes, must agree there. Try for closer to 20hp with 180 crank to lessen vibes and it will give usable acceleration etc.

Thanks for that, I recently sold a DNEPR with v5c which would have been ideal for the project but you live and learnandrewaust wrote:Yes if you have a bike that has the space a twin with 20hp would be a thumbs up for me too, keep us posted how the build goes tribsat100

I want something other than a single cylinder clone engine so looking for a chassis. Theres one available at the moment but its a beemer and it sits too high for me.
