Nope, mine came with a pilot hole, this must be bored to an inch, then a key way stuck in it.

Arghh time is running out, I've a week to get the Enfield sorted for a ride from the UK to Serbia.

Engine is not in, the only thing I've done is get the petrol out, switch the gearbox sprocket to 18 tooth and pull the electrics apart.

DieselDan,

a) how do you tap off power from the rectifier (where is it?)
b) the backplate, how did you know what height to weld the bottom plate at, or did you guestimate then bend it a little later on?
c) can you supply details for the throttle set-up you have used?
d) the hose at the top that returns to the petrol tank (yours has yellow tape around it in picture), what did you do with it?
e) you say you made a cut-off, I was intending to use the red lever, can you give details?

My conversion is nearly done.

I can't remember how to get all the seat tabs back on the frame, I accidentally sat on it and bent them all.

And three clips for inside the headlight - can't work them out either!

Hardest part has been the throttle assembly and choosing the two springs, to balance the lever, give enough movement at the throttle blip, be strong enough to look like they'll last. Adjustment with the engine in is painful and impossible with the primary cover on therefore I'm taking my time.

I accidentally removed the speed over-throttle regulator bolt, or whatever it is, and I need to work out what setting it should be on.

Engine is bloody loud - I've used the stock Yanmar type exhaust it fits BEAUTIFULLY I don't know why others don't use it.

Smoke is bad from such a little engine. Stinks too. Hopefully once run in it'll do better.

Vibes are BBBBBBAAAAAAAD! I went over many bolts with nylon nuts when I seen how bad it was.

1) It's bloody loud
2) Smoke emanating from your crotch is bad, no matter how you slice it.

Do post a pic of the stock exhaust.
you didn't buy the cheapest yanmar clone? these have some quality problems and often lack the balancing shaft.
My yanmarclone rus smooth, giving no vibration at all while driving..

Emergency Question (I'm supposed to be going to Serbia on it tomorrow

I need help regarding the fuel stroke bolt at the bottom it's the only thing left - can anyone tell me how there's is setup (mine came loose)?

At off the needle is touching but not by much, when started and at idle
the needle isn't touching at all. This is either correct or I need more
force at the throttle and to turn the needle out?

andrewaust wrote:I cannot help you with the main question Sphere, I guess the guy might have made an extension for the original shaft etc.

My Yanclone needed the extended shaft, footpeg rod and Taurus inner primary chaincase etc.

I guess if you have access to a good machinery shop or self equipped with lathe, Mill etc, anything is possible.

A ;)
Are these cases suitable ? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Inner-Primar ... _500wt_922
