Bike Lift

Post by Stuart »

Sam was kind enough to send me two pictures of his newly constructed bike lift this morning. You can see his Yamaha on it below. If I remember correctly he told me it was from a tail lift. Just the thing to left a heavy dieselbike :D

bike lift

Post by balboa_71 »

For those of you in the US, Sam's Club sells a nice bike lift for around $110 last time I checked, it's portable, and slides right up under the engine and away you go. Most bike sold here in the States do not have center stands, so changing flats really suck :(

I really like the looks of that one! Suppose you could get some more/better pictures?

If you have a hospital near you that chucks out stuff you might wanna pay close attention to the underside of any lift beds they don't want. They make good bike lifts :D

I use an electric winch on an "I" beam to get my bike up where I can work on it.

It's the only way to get to those pesky lower bolts you can't see.

I have a table I set my bike on so I don't have to bend over.

I do have two bike tables in the back of the shop for long term projects. But I prefer the winch when it's a small job.

Yea, I know, I hate to work on my hands and knees.
Old age will do that to you.
