Moderators, would it be possible to have this forum setup for Forum Runner?
It would allow viewing without using a browser, nice while traveling!!
Setup is simple. http://www.forumrunner.net/?p=register
Thanks

Re: Request: Forum Runner app
I will look into it soon after I've done a few other things on my 'to do' list.
Just had a peek. Nobody else has ever had a problem viewing the forum on the move, including our techy, Neil, I believe - and he's halfway to Australia at the moment!
Thanks for the submittion but I'm always cautious on this stuff.

Thanks,
It works really well and use it for other forums.
We use it at work for over 300,000 employees.
It fits the screen nicely for iPhone's, iPads, Blackberries and Androids.

That's because iPhone3 and BB have really crappy resolution. No need for modern iPhone4 or Droid.

Re: Request: Forum Runner app
As Stuart mentioned I can't set this up at the moment as I am someplace in Nepal (I think). I'd want to be at a computer for a week or two to set anything up at the moment so I can do backups and restore if there are any problems etc.
This forum is enabled for RSS though - have you tried that option??

Re: Request: Forum Runner app
I have no problem reading with my year old Motorola Droid. Posting this with it now in fact. True that surfing with some other phones looks like the big suck. I'm usually more annoyed with pages set up for mobile than regular web. If any changes are made to the forum that automaticly senses and loads as mobile, please make it easy to change back and reload as classic.Sphere wrote:That's because iPhone3 and BB have really crappy resolution. Thanks y'all for all the work done to keep the forum and pages up and running.

This will only provide an added feature to the people that use tools suck as Forum Runner. If you don't use anything like Forum Runner you will not even notice a difference.
It parses forum content and converts it to Forum Runner format which is more efficient.
It changes nothing in phpBB only changes the client side.
