Diesel MZ Build From Hungary

Post by pietenpol2002 »

Nicely detailed 4 part account of converting an MZ to diesel, and having mated the amputated gearbox in the process. Of particular interest is the fact that he cut splines into the crank to accept a Honda CX500 clutch that he runs dry. If I understand the translation correctly he acquired special plates for the dry application. Use your Google translator for the full story. And don't miss the video.

Interesting how he mates the clutch to the crank, looks odd somehow in my Enfield based world :D
'92 Enfield + Hatz 1B40: street legal, weld up stainless exhaust, check engine rpm and change final drive sprocket.

And now its off to the drag strip. However, that hack in the right lane would seem to be little competition for the mighty Yanclone. Outcome of the race isn't listed but he did go fast enough to blur the crowd.
