Hi all, finally made some progress with my D950/BMW build. This took a lot longer than I hoped as the quote for the welding of the bellhousing adapter was so high I decided to buy a tig welder and learn alloy welding!
Once I was satisfied with my welding I joined the 10mm adapter plate to the machined BMW engine rear section and fashioned a starter cover from one of the BMW rocker boxes. Then I sectioned the frame and fitted the rear half, just got to fabricate the rear engine mounts and the new front half of the frame.
At this rate of progress 2012?
All the best for the new year Phil.
PS anyone know how to set the date on my camera?

Re: kuboto/bmw progress
Thanks for the update. Sweet looking adapter. Still though my mind keeps drifting to ending up w/less frame choping, less adapter building and maybe better gear ratios by going to a CVT to a fixed jackshaft pully that has oppsite of it the drive shaft flange.
