hi, great sight, thanks sharing all your experiences...
been into diesels for 4-5 years (not too popular here in the states) and bio fuels.
i had a corolla for 2 years on bio diesel now currently running a '83 peugeot 505 on waste veg.oil.
i recently picked up a yanmar clone ( 10 horse with a tappered shaft)and while looking to run it as a generator i came across this sight and got me thinking.
though cvt is new to me seems like i may go with that direction.
have no bike yet but its a good time to buy for cheap.
maybe a yamaha xj 650 or a honda CB ?
hope i don't bother much with questions, hope to be of some use with running vegetable oil in diesels.
thanks, nate.
p.s. came across a yamaha phazer smowmobile. anybody think it wouold be worth $200 for parts for the conversion?
thanks in advance.

Hey there! Check out the bikes in the pictures on this site, there are a couple of Honda CB350's, etc. I picked up a Suzuki GS550 "cruiser" about 20 years ago? (can't remember exactly) to use as a base for a Diesel bike, but at the time couldn't find an engine I could afford. I bought an old Hatz one-lunger about 2 years ago but if I had it to start over, I'd go the Chinese Diesel route. I still am not near finished. The ChinaClones seem to be really reliable, and there are many on this site who have had much experience with them. I don't think that there is any question you could have in building your bike that you won't get at least a half-dozen answers here for, although you'll get 6 totally different answers they'll probably all be right!
Good luck
