Fuel solanoid shut off valve.
Any ideas guys ? I've been looking for one of these or something very similar for my Diesel engine, I bought one off eBay that said it fitted both 6 and 8mm pipe which done the job an it ticked over great but restricted the flow of fuel too much and wouldn't rev out, the one in the pic here is perfe...

Naa I got a good one mate, its got a manual override lever which allows the fuel to still flow in the event of a power failure.

Mmmm, if I fitted one of these... Petrol solenoid shut cut off valve 12V,LPG conversions,liquid,air,anti theft http://bit.ly/103v26B as close to the pump on the fuel tank feed and fitted a one way fuel valve like diesel Dave suggested, do you think it would turn off straight away or run on for ages ?

Mmmm its an idea mate,I can't get a fuel pump with a electric solanoid for the L70 engine like mine, I've rang two firms over it now to see if the other engines they make like the L90 or L100 with the cut off valve will fit mine, one said it might fit but the solanoid is just under £200 and the pump...

You might have just hit the nail on the head there mate, looking at the pics side by side they look the same except for the electric bit on the side, I'll ring them up tomorrow an see what they say, I've never fitted one but can't imagine it being hard ?

Cutting your fuel pipe
I may need to cut my fuel pipe to fit a shut off solenoid, has anyone done it ? I've got the 300cc Yanmar.

I've just built an registed a 50cc moped, it was originally a single speed, but laced in a 3 speed Sturmy Archer drum brake an gear box, I've done about 300 miles on it so far but can't fault the gears at all, you just have to throttle off, change gear an your away again ! Yeah last Friday I got me boys bike through, it's all common sense really, I would advise joining the Britchopper forum as there's loads of experts available, I'd also buy a copy of the MSVA manual itself, as I made a few cock ups which cost me dear.
