Re: Clutch general info
Thanks coach. I did search the net for a good four hours but didn't find anything that came close to summing up what a clutch is better then that youtube vid. For some reason, I thought that the Gearbox handled all the clutch related affairs  Although I haven't been able to find the reason dic...

Clutch general info
Ok... I have been doing a bit of reading but I am still unsure if I fully grasp WHAT a clutch actually does or how it relates to the gearbox. My understanding is that the clutch assembly is bolted to the flywheel and then is connected to the gearbox, most popularly, by a chain. Does this sound right...

Re: Diesel Sport Bikes
I must admit, I like this idea and would love to convert a sports bike to diesel although I wouldn't really be interested in going for max speed... more just having a fully faired diesel bike although the only thing stopping me is dollars :'(. That said, good luck and I cant wait to see updates.

Re: 2 new films (diesel automatic)
It looks like the bike hits triple figures at about the 3 minute mark in the second video. Hence why I was curious about whether the use mph or kph but has been using kph in calculations.Look forward to more video's of it. And perhaps some indication of price, speed and other specs.

Has anyone thought of... ?
Yo, I was discussing the idea of a diesel motorbike with a long time motorcyclist who is open to new ideas. I told him that I would like to use an old CBR as the shell, etc, etc ,etc... although he made one really interesting suggestion. Is it feasible to rig up a hybrid set up? i.e you have your di...

Re: Newbie questions on where to start
ah. ok... cvt = automatic. would rather stick with manual. So excess smoke is due to bad fuel set-up. I think i read somewhere that it was just something that diesels did regardless (note: read with sceptisism) and just wanted that cleared up. The bike itself would only need to do about 100kph (62is...

Newbie questions on where to start
OK! Have been lurking here for a while, and have finally taken the plunge, signed up and am ready to start planning a conversion. Im not a huge fan of naked bikes/enfields/etc and would like to use an older honda CBR250RR as a donor as I love the look and am not averse to "modifying" the f...
