Re: CB350 tranny + Yanmar L100 + Turbo
Hello All! Haven't been on here in a while as i have moved and no longer have easy access to the 'net. But anyway, I actually removed the turbo from Kaiser, sadly. The turbo bearings failed after about 100 miles of riding :x and the compressor wheel rubbed against the turbo intake housing. Oh well, ...

Re: CB350 tranny + Yanmar L100 + Turbo
The Yanmar is a direct injected diesel . Basically the diesel fuel is squirted directly into the cylinder slightly before top dead center on the compression stroke. There is no carburetor or throttle body that regulates an air flow mixture. I know that on my engine there is a spring assembly that yo...

Re: CB350 tranny + Yanmar L100 + Turbo
Sorry i haven't been on for a while... i just had a Baby on the 15th and have been very busy...
The turbo project is near finished, just need to find some time to tweak and tune. It builds boost easily, and low to mid range torque has improved, but like any project, there are bugs.

Re: CB350 tranny + Yanmar L100 + Turbo
I just made a video and posted it on youtube... i wanted to check oil line flow, so i pre-oiled the bearings and fired it up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH3-QBU-gY8 I love how you can hear it spool up a little when i give it some fuel. And did you notice the turbine rotated a little the first at...

Re: CB350 tranny + Yanmar L100 + Turbo
Ok, for the inlet plenum i was planning on sealing off the engines original air filter box, removing the air filter, and running a pipe straight off the compressor into the back of it...that should work

Re: CB350 tranny + Yanmar L100 ... How I did it
Awesome job on the KDX tranny Boxer, I wish i had thought of that... And I like the idea of the 2:1 Primary belt drive, with the larger pulley on the engine, the V-belt should have no problem holding the load. I was thinking about running a primary V-belt but didn't think it could handle it since my...

Re: Yanmar Powered Bike From Estonia
That bike is truly one of a kind, i love the custom steel bellhousing...And, Is that a BMW tranny, i think i recognise. Cool, on the last pic, i see the tall skinny radiator... My cousin had either a late '80's KX125 or 250 (can't remember), but it had a single sided radiator that as very tall like ...

CB350 tranny + Yanmar L100 ... How I did it
Many people are wondering how I used the original 5 speed trannsmission from a 1972 Honda cb350 in my dieselbike, seeing how the factory eingine and tranny are one integrated unit. I have lost many of the original pictures i had while i was building the bike, so bear with me. So, In a nutshell, the ...

Hello Ricky Wojcik here. Coachgeo sent me a message on youtube about signing up here so i finally set up an account. I'm still working the bugs out of my diesel bike project. It started out life as a 1972 CB350 with a blown engine, and I performed a diesel conversion using a Yanmar L100 clone that i...
