Re: Is 6.8hp enough?

Diesel Dave, Sounds like you just described a Pak Jak. It is used to pack out downed game in the Western U.S. It has a 3hp gas engine in it, but is geared 60:1. It is slow going. I have a small 4.2HP Yanmar diesel ready for the transplant. It will literally climb a tree, if you can hang on. http://i...

Re: Is 6.8hp enough?

Hello all, Its been a while since I've had a chance to log up, I've been working crazy hours. I just met Mike Siebert in Portland, Oregon, and what a class act he is. I had answered an ad for a large minibike frame and found that it was Mike's. I bought the remnants of his diesel minibike with the i...

Re: 1970 Diesel Enfield

Dave, I like the pancake filter, simple and light, would you happen to have a part number and source? Brett, Thanks, I'll give you a ring this next weekend, if that's okay. I'm going to the DMV with it this next week for title and registration. Guys, What the heck is a "headsteady"? Is it ...

Re: 1970 Diesel Enfield

Yep, that's the one. It a came out of Los Angeles, CA. I was the sole bidder, I think I now know why! I spent today working on my boat. It's nearly a necessity though, as I live in a floating home on the Columbia river. If you look in the background of the first picture of the bike, you can s...

Re: 1970 Diesel Enfield

I was hoping you guys would tell me! I'll take it off and study it, but probably won't be putting it back on. I'm open to suggestions. My first thought was to replace it with a cone paper filter. The other side is functional, but ugly, it reminds one of that old Three Stooges plumbing skit, the pipe...

1970 Diesel Enfield

This is my first attempt at posting a picture to the forum. The pipe on this side of the bike is actually the intake, the exhaust is on the other side.
The stain on the pavement is from my old wheezer pickup.

Numbutt , AKA Don

Hello all, I feel I know some of you from reading the forum and lurking in the shadows. I joined to tap into the wealth of knowledge and perhaps someday have something to contribute. I'm from the Missouri Ozarks, grew up on a farm, speak with an IQ reducing drawl, and have had motorcycles all of my ...
