I sort of knew the answer, but I found a vid on Youtube of a stationary running 600, which seemed to be turning clockwise. It is probably an optical illusion, so I thought I would check anyway.

Another daft question about this Kubota.
Which direction would the flywheel turn if it was mounted with the cylinders foward and the flywheel on the right hand side?

I had an idea the gearing would all be out. I'm looking for a pre unit gearbox now to build a solo.

I have another option. I built a small trike frame to take a 1300 VW flat four, but the Kubota will drop straight in.
The back axle has a diff ratio of 5.1: 1. I am not much good at maths so I am not sure if a Ural box will be enough to turn the axle.

I just had a look at it in his garage, and it looks ideal.
I was sort of hoping it might be too big as I already have a VW trike to finish, and now I am thinking about a diesel Ural.
If it fits in the Ural frame without any cutting, I will probably go for it.

My mate has a good used Kubota ZB 600 in his shed.
What sort of money should I offer him for it?

I am into trikes in a big way, and if it is not blasphemy to mention them on this forum, I might even have a go at building a diesel trike.
There are a good number of diesel car-engined ones over here, but hardly any with a small lump in.
