Puzzelled by Engine....Wonder what I have here?
After cleaning and checking over the bike before a run tomorrow, am puzzelled by the engine and what it really is....the engine appears to have no markings other than L100 and 0.435L by the oil filler cap....I can't see any other manufacturer markings, only label is on the air cleaner cover....nothi...

Diesel treatments? & spotting 'bad diesel'
Hi, Is there any views on using 'diesel treatments'? After chatting with diesel dave ( great chap and very inspirational  ) of sluggy-fame I have become semi-educated on diesel fuel and the effects of standing (condensation?) and maybe bugs/algae build up....which may occur. I have ...

Finally got a bike sorted....
Hi, I finally got sorted with a diesel, one of Trevor Williams bike(s) - fitted with a Yanmar I believe L100 and not a clone. It's great fun....well apart from the gear change - could be the clutch. It has a 5-plate clutch I am told and a recent cable, so maybe its not adjusted right. Guess this is ...

Gearbox or clutch adjustment maybe?
Hi, Once going a 2005 Bullet with Yanmar engine* - it pulls well and seems to handle well. Once running it seems to go quite well save for one part of the bike, and I wonder if there is any adjustment....the gearbox! (* after looking to build managed to sell some bits for a 350 enfield and acquired ...

Genuine Yanmar vs. Clone vs. Robin?
Hi, As I get nearer tidying up after stripping the enfield ( with a duff petrol engine ), may I ask a engine related query? I recall the Redbrest Robin DR400 from the 80's with the conversion with a diesel engine, whch I think was Japanese...and the tests on that bike around the time. I know that se...

Re: Agreed value - who with and how?
Footman James said.... "......It would be based on a value on the modern policy, but not being on an agreed value basis it is not a certain amount you would get in the event of a claim. You can still use documents, proof of value, receipts etc in this case to try and prove how much the bike is ...

Agreed value - who with and how?
Agreed value for insurance - who with and how? I have aquired a 2004 enfield motorycle with a knackered petrol engine, an am planning on replacing the engine with a Yanmar (or Yanmar clone) engine. When I asked my insurer - Footman James about the effect of this they couldn't add this to my classic ...

Probably not a new question, searching didn't help me much!
Hi, A while ago I recall the "Robin" diesel and many tests in Motorcycle Sport and Leisure, by Peter Henshaw. I think I have seen the odd bike at Stanford Hall, Founders Day.....and some 'Ernie Dorset' Matchless types....out and about. I have searched the messages with "supplier"...
