New diesel bike from USA

Post by mgraeme »

Everyone,

I found these videos on YouTube the other day. Another converted motorcycle from the state of Michigan in the USA. Cut the
engine out of a unitized Japanese transmission and grafted on a china diesel.

I'm impressed.

I messaged this youtube user. Invited him to come here. Would be a learning experience discusing with him how he did the this tranny work. Would really help alot of folk doing conversions IMHO

Good stuff, it would indeed be interesting to learn how this was done! How would you even go about sealing up the exit shaft from the tranny for the clutch? I once had a DR350 stripped down to the bolts and noted that the transmission sides (right word?) had lots of holes in them not to mention gear selector shaft etc under the covers. Lots of welding I guess?

Neil,

You need to talk to Sam about RD350 gearboxes - he uses one on his Rugger 950 Honda.

Got ahold of the fellow. He is trying to register on here now. Was waiting on the reply email to finish registration. I did tell him to check his junk mail to see if it went there.

Hopefully we will be hearing from him soon
