Lombardini/Yanmar Powered Simpa JDM

Post by pietenpol2002 »

Curious if anyone knows what drive train is used in the Lombardini (and now Yanmar) powered French Simpa JDM vehicles. I believe they've been using the Lombardini since the "car" was first built in 1976. And these machines started life in the mid-70's with an engine smaller than Sluggy's, using a 325 cc Lombardini. But, would the drive train be adaptable to a motorcycle application? Anybody on that side of the pond know of these little carts?

One wonders whether the application shown on the Lombardini website as a "new projects" isn't something close to what has been used in the JDM Simpa vehicles.
