active forum topics

Now that the forum is up and running again we used to be able to set it up to see the recent posts or active topics.
Can't seem to do that now as nothing comes up on the search?
I now have to plough through and try to find the latest posts by searching for the dates?

till they get that fixed...... did you know you can change display settings to show most recent thread a response was posted into for each forum on the front page?

if you do that...... you can click directly to that topic from main page.

to set that up go to top right below search and click your user name. then click:
. "user control panel"
. "board preferences
. "display options"
.... Display topic order direction: set to "descending"

It was set up that way BUT I had to alter the days to 7 days.
That's that sorted now why do I always have to log in ?
Despite clicking the remember me boxes when logging in as soon as I leave the site I always have to log in on returning?

that is an admin setting that probably got transferred from the previous boards settings when things got transferred over. Was same on that one too. Agree it is a PITA but it might be tad bit cheaper...... lowers server load?
