Homemade 10 hp diesel bobber

Hi everyone.I built diesel bobber which has 10 hp diesel engine and 4 speed gearbox.It was finished last summer.I hope you like it.Let's look at my first video.

Looks like "Honda" on the r/h side of the black gearbox so I presume he is using a cut down engine??

Now,I'm using chain but I will change my transmission system with trıger pulley and belt.This is more quite than the chain drive.

How do you keep the oil in the gearbox? Does the original clutch have a gear on the basket or is it chain driven internally?

Yes,it has original wet clutch.I built a metal cover top of the gear box and used liquid gasket.May you send to me your bike photo.?

Wow.Nice job and your belts are quiter than chain.I like it very much.I have to use triger belt system but I couldn't see any tensioner for belts.This is my main problem.I'm using homemade chain tensioner but it hasn't long life.These belts are very tight and how do you mount these belts on your pulley?Thanks for your help.

Thank you indeed! Firstly I used 2 large section belts, as it allows me to run them a little less tensioned than 1 on its own.

I have a nut on the crank end, so I feed the belt onto the clutch pulley and use a spanner to twist it over the crank pulley.

I have done about 1500 miles and the belts are still tight and don't slip.

Might be telling you something you already know but it is easier to fit the belt on the small pulley then put it on the large one last, needs far less force.

I did try it that way, but the nut is on the crankshaft. The only way to do it on the bigger one would be to use the clutch nut and that has a very specific tighentic amount before it affects the clutch.

I only have to do it when I play with the clutch.

I am sure you know what you are doing,What is this nut, are you not just stretching the belts onto the pulleys?

Sorry, the nut I have on the cranck to turn the pulley after I have the best half on.
