Tiger brake discs

Just found cracks in one of the Tigers front disks - please check yours are not suffering similar problems.

Over a hundred quid each too.

Hmm my discs are pretty worn due to the crappy non-sliding sliding calipers mostly. Am giving consideration to swapping the whole lot out for something more decent. Never seem to have time at the moment tho.

Know what you mean about time. I have a new set of pistons and seals but it's a gutty job messing with brake fluid and blowing out the dirty lines etc

I swapped my fluid at least once a year on my bikes, so I know what you mean. I was fortunate enough to have cross drilled, vented rotors on the FJ1200 (my club called them big-rig brakes because you could go full binders on them and not even heat them up) so I never ran into cracking or anything of that sort. Sounds scary though. You may want to consider building or repurposing your own floating mount and swapping the rotors for something easier to get ahold of, possibly of a larger diameter.
