Should be an interesting build to follow. Yet another rendition of how to couple a CVT to the shaft drive. And with that offset Kubota, it should turn very nicely to the right.

Re: Reverse Diesel Trike
Got ahold of the fellow via email. Yes they chainged to a Harley 5speed. Change was done thinking they CVT lacked adjustability thus not allowing them to get beyond 45mph. They found the Harley unit did no better in that catagory either. Still could not get above 45mph. They are a boat building company and it appears most are diesel boats. Not sure though if there was any "up" tuning or turbo done to their engine though (D722 Kubota) nor do I know the weight of the trike.blowindiesel wrote:they've apparently switched to a Harley tranny
Saw no turbo on the video. Might be optical illusion but the pulleys seemed off too.. at higher RPM the belt was getting tweaked.
I've invited them to join here.

Re: Reverse Diesel Trike
He's selling the diesel engine he last used in favor of a larger one. Granted he told me he did nothing to the D722 even though it would only rev to 3000rpm. Think it would be fine if he resolved why it would not go past that. Probably had the fuel rack adjusted to that by Carrier since it was a refer. unit engine.
Now if he would just pop in here and fill us in on his Rev. Trike kits he has in prototype. I've asked him more than once now to please pop in here. If I recall right from our conversation; he says their bolt on (and unbolt) to any bike. He also has full fiberglass skins to rework into a whole new trike look.
