19 icn conti milestone or mitas h-01 experience?

Post by arnaud »

Dear folks, maybe there's room for a tyre topic.

I want to replace the heidenau k33 on my 19 inch enfield because of lack of grip in the wet and poor handling.

i was thinking about the continental cm1 milestone 3.00/19 or the mitas h-01, although the latter brand, like barum has no good name on grip.. is this because of a justified reason?

i know the blocked H-02 has poor grip, but then maybe the other types are better?

Does anyone have experience with the conti(although it is said to be for heavy cruisers and choppers) cm1??

I use MITAS 4-19 tyres on my ural M63 (standard) and M66 (with 1l Daihatsu 3 cyl). They cope with the load fine (a big issue with the diesel bike) and I've never had a skid problem...but perhaps the brakes are not good enough! Also seem to cope well with oil dripping from final drive. No perishing of side walls or tread bottom, but tread on diesel bike is on its way out, prob <3000 miles. Mark, Manchester, UK.
