Enfield front brake drum skim

Post by Pat Pending »

Can anyone suggest a good machine shop in the South East of England capable of skimming an Enfield front brake drum (ie the complete front wheel).

Thanks

This has been discussed somewhere else on this forum, when I find the thread I will link it here. You will require a serious lathe, I think oldbmw is fortunate enough to own one. Unfortunately for you he's in France.

Hagon offer this service - http://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/main1st.htm

I've only used them for wheel truing but their service was excellent if a little slow (though I did use them mid-Spring when every biker and his brother is getting work done on their bikes...)
