Hi Guys.

My name's Neil and I live on the Surrey-Berkshire border.
I can't remember exactly how I got this whole diesel bike idea into my head, but it happened about a year or so ago. And then about 4 months ago I accidentally became the proud owner of a second hand Yanmar L100. After a lot umm-ing and ah-ing I decided on a Suzuki VL125 Intruder as a donor chassis on the basis that as I'll be going very slowly, I might as well sit back at relax.
I've now reached the point where I need advice on a gearbox and alternator, but I'll start an official thread on that in the appropriate section.

Hope to be smoking by summer.

Hi Phil, yes, that's me. Do you have a MT350 or MT500?
Which BMW are you using?

Yes Ive got a 500, had it for 15 years, the BMW is a R75.

If you Surrey guys ever get to Box Hill keep a look out for me. I'll either be on the Diesel or the new Trumpet - usually Saturday or Sunday lunchtime depending on work. Bloody nice burgers there

Took the Diesel to Bury Hill last weekend though (in deepest Sussex). The bike got much attention as usual
