I picked up an army bike helmet in a French Surplus store the other day. Only wanted it for the colour incase I ever get my grubby mits on a KLR. I don't, as a rule, buy secondhand helmets for obvious reasons but this was in good nick and opened up very much like a fighter pilots helmet with sliding sides. Cool
Maybe I live in a hole but I've not seen a biker with anything like this in the UK. Made by CGF - Integral-Casque - ISR. kakisurplus@wanadoo.fr

Re: Helmet
If you could fit a motor in that to make it automatic it would be mighty cool like something outa star wars.

Yeah. I think it needs some plastic grease on the runners - they are a bit stiff. The left side slide didn't like staying back either because the latch wasn't quite right. A blob of twin pack glue on a rivet that acts a latch cured it. Luckily I also go my right size too. They have a few more in stock in case anyone speaks french.

That is way different mate, yeah! Never seen a helmet that does that = cool
That would sure open up a conversation piece, stu on a KLR complete with Military issue M/C Helmet.
Good find!
