I am starting my new project but I am still looking for a donor bike. I have a Mitsubishi engine that rotates counter-clockwise at the flywheel and I am looking at a BMW or Guzzi conversion. I am thinking that an airhead might work best but before I start buying parts I want to make sure of one thing:
Airheads rotate counterclockwise at the flywheel correct?? Does anyone know if a Guzzi does as well? -JD

Re: thanks
Thanks ! I am currently rebuilding it , shiny powdercoated frame and polished stainless steel instead of rust and damaged paintwork.jdaftra wrote:Good to know, I could not find it anywhere. You bike is brilliant buy the way. I love it! -JD
Next week I will upload new pictures to my home page.
a Good donorbike for a three cilinder would be a GUZZI V50 , take a look at MAANDAG his bike .
The gearbox ratios are easy to change , and these bikes are cheap (at least here in Holland)

Guzzi
Ok! I'll have a look. Guzzis are pretty hard to come by here in the states. BMWs as well but Guzzis in particular. I think most of them get babied or restored. I have seen a frame here and there but have little luck finding a roller for a good price. However, it certainly does look like they match up well to a different motor. I'll keep my eyes open. -JD
