oil leak primary chain case

I have a Charnwoods RE diesel and the bike has developed a leak between the primary chain case and the Hatz engine.Also had a leak from the outer primary chaincase which I stopped using Hermatite Red spread on some cloth and wiped along the joint. To reach the leak will have to strip chaincase off
There is a paper gasket between chaincase and engine. Am using ATF oil.
Can anybody offer a solution as to what sealant to use please ?
Diesel Dave can you offer some help as usual ??

We Use loctite 5900 at work for sumps it is good for imersion in oil and lasts for years.

Really you just need some RTV spread over the joint faces after stripping and cleaning.

If you could pop over Dartford crossing to my place we can put it on the lift bench and it would be done in around an hour (depending on tea and biscuit consumption). You do need a puller for the clutch and possible a holding tool for the inner; I have both here.
