Good afternoon all.
Hello from sunny Scotland, firstly a big thanks from the moderators for activating my account so I can post in the forum.
Secondly hello to all members far and wide, I’m hoping someone out there will be able to assist me. I’m sure many on here will remember the late Ernie Dorsett whom there’s a wonderful section on this site with some great pictures of bikes he built. I’m proud to say Ernie was my grandfather and I have many fond memories as a young boy growing up around diesel motorcycles. My greatest was going out pillion on the yellow peril round country lanes one summers evening.
After I left school I joined the RAF and moved to Scotland and have been here ever since.
I’m trying to track down one of Ernie’s diesel bikes to purchase. If anyone has one for sale or any information on where any of these bikes are that’d be very much appreciated.
Best regards
Paul Jones

Paul, you are very welcome indeed;
I never met your grandfather but have seen quite a few of his creations at the ‘Big Knock’ UK Dieselbike Rally.

Paul,
I live in Kent and purchased the remaining Robin Diesel stock about 5 years ago with the intention of building a replica of the Yellow Peril. I got most of the bits and converted a frame but sold it to a guy in Folkestone to put the money to build a Triumph Tiger Cub Pre65 Trials bike.
I still have a large advertisement poster which you are welcome to foc.
Sorry I can’t help further.

Additional info.
There was also a Robin Diesel Trials Bike on Ebay around 4 years ago which I believe was also your Grandfather's. Beautifully built but a bit heavy for trials!
