Seems like having a flat car tire on the back would be dangerous for handling.

Probably there is a better selection of bike tyres available now as it was built over 10 yrs ago.
I did ask the question is there any way to disconnect the drive and the answer was no so to me that is more dangerous.
A simple dog clutch in the drive would suffice.
I presume to start it you need to pull the clutch in and that's it permanently in drive so you can't even idle it without the drive being connected???

Probably a 15" cruiser tyre.
Now if anyone is old enough to remember Avon SM bike tyres they were square lol
