Yes, a 70 HP two-smoke diesel trimmed down to aero-weight would be sweet shiat in a bike - but if they say retail price is going to be "competitive" with that of aero-gassers that probably means it's gonna cost you an arm and three legs, also very aero.

I believe the Zoche has been in development for nearly 30 years. My memory is seeing it first in the mid-80's at the EAA airshow in Oshkosh. And then every year thereafter. It's rumored that government funded development grants are too lucritive to forego in the interest of production and support - but that's just rumor. Operational costs inclusive of fuel for aircraft purposes are on the order of $53/hr. Although I find the design very appealling, I may not live long enough to see it reach production - and I'm in rather good health. And then, if I did live that long, I wouldn't be able to afford it. But, oh the sound.
