My Ford Focus

Post by Stuart »

Stripped & cleaned 4 injectors on my Ford Focus this evening. They are Delphi types & were dirty & gummed up. Had to swap a few parts over to narrow down problems without mixing up the electronic heads which are coded up.

Took her for a spin earlier and she goes very well now. Apparently the Delphi injectors are well known for giving trouble after being left idle for some time. I'm guessing the tolerances on the plungers are too good :!: Even after 100,000 miles of wear :!:
